Blown glass pendants – a unique approach to re-purposing….
I made blown glass vases, and for various reasons they didn’t work out. Keeping them because I love the colors, I cut them apart, lapidary worked and fused them flat to create each pendant. Because few pieces survive this process, these pendants are very limited in availability.
This large ‘statement piece’ pendant features my blown glass cane and is wire wrapped. The wire sits securely in a grooved channel I cut into the perimeter of the cabochon.
Process: blown glass, fused, cut, wire wrapped.
Measurements of the glass is 1-3/8″ wide x 2″ tall
*Please note the necklace cord is sold separately.
The bail opening fits onto a 1/8″ (4 mm) chain or cord.
Each hand crafted Thistle Glass piece has been properly annealed in a kiln for added strength and durability.
