GLASS: This design contains real silver, folks! Fine silver leaf is fused within layers of crushed glass in transparent blue and green atop an opaque ivory background, and encased in a layer of clear glass.

The warm hues bordering the blue-silver area are a reaction. When fired in a kiln, the crushed glass colors react to the fine silver metal causing gorgeous color changes within the piece!
