This Peacock Heart Necklace is mounted on a black nylon necklace cord. Both sides of this piece are wonderful to look at, so the necklace is reversible! We included a picture of the cord so you can see how it adjusts.*
The glass was created using the “off-mandrel” lampworking technique over a torch flame. “Off-mandrel” means the glass is melted and shaped while transferring the hot glass from hand to hand using glass rods for handles.
The alternate lampworking technique uses a mandrel, and the molten glass is formed by winding it onto the mandrel, or metal rod.
Measurements of the glass: 3/4″ x 2-5/8″.
Colors: opaque glass layers of blues and greens.
Glass: All of our lampwork pieces are made from borosilicate glass.
Each hand crafted Thistle Glass piece has been properly annealed in a kiln for added strength and durability.
Care Tip: Please do not wear while swimming or bathing.
*The adjustable cloth choker is made of nylon cord with a knotted centerpiece and the length ranges from approximately 13″ to 25″.
To adjust longer, slide cord so the end knots get closer together; to adjust shorter, pull knots apart. When testing these cords, I opened the length all the way to slip it over my head, then I grasped the knots to pull to my preferred shorter length. Note to self: remove glasses first!
